Makalei Golf Club
An alternate to the island’s coastal golf courses, the Makalei Golf Club offers an elevation range from 1,800 to 2,850 feet. Surrounded by lush green forest, this 18-hole championship course overlooks the Kona-Kohala Coast from the lower slopes of Hualalai, the island’s third highest mountain.

Big Island Country Club’s par 72 course is designed to be enjoyable for novices through expert players. Designed by famed golf architect Perry Dye, the course features wide fairways and water in play on nine of the 18 holes. Its spectacular location and scenic beauty add to its well-deserved reputation along with wide, gently rolling Bermuda grass fairways, medium-size undulating Bent grass greens, and an abundance of water.
