At Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay, it is through makana, the Hawaiian word for gift, that guests connect with all that is the experience of a vacation here on Hawaii, the Big Island. Our makana to you is our commitment to share our history, our culture, and a special part of Hawaii with you here at Keauhou. Whether through a cultural tour, hula lesson or yoga – all and more are offered so our guests can appreciate an authentic Hawaiian experience of adventure, learning and relaxation.
Join a complimentary morning yoga class on the Bay View Lawn next to the Bayside Chapel. Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8:30 am.
Learn the art of lei-making or the basics of playing the ulukele and dancing hula! Every Wednesday and Friday in the lobby, lei-making begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by ukulele lessons at 10:30 a.m. and hula lessons immediately afterward at 11 a.m. Classes are typically taught by Tutu (Aunt) Lindsey.
Sheraton Kona also hosts NEW complimentary Manta Talks at the Manta Ray Learning Center (adjacent to Rays on the Bay) most evenings at 6 p.m. (ask the concierge for the exact schedule, as it varies). Learn more about the history, cultural significance and behavior of these "gentle giants" from our expert staff, and then watch real manta rays at Paakai Point.
Elevate your heart rate during fun scheduled races down our Manta Ray pool super slide, or lounge in our brand new orange bean bag chairs, available daily from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wander over to the sports area and play a match of tennis, basketball or join a sand volleyball game.
