Rays on the Bay
To enhance our guest's experience, Rays on the Bay is currently experiencing a game changing renovation and will be reopening in late July 2017. Providing more options and excellent service, our two other restaurants Ainakai and Holua will be open for dinner service during this time.
Now offering an oceanfront breakfast and dinner experience, Rays on the Bay is the Sheraton Kona's premiere restaurant for unobstructed ocean views and island inspired cuisine.
Imagine the rich flavors of world-famous Kona coffee, paakai (sea salt), guava, lemongrass, alii mushrooms, and coconut all grown in Hawaii's lava-rich soil and packed with flavor and culinary history. Now partner that delicious fare coupled with Rays on the Bay's natural, open-air atmosphere offering endless ocean views and romantic sunsets.
Dinner is available nightly from 5:30 p.m. until the last seating at 9:30 p.m. Enjoy seasonal live music beginning at 6:30 p.m. by local island artists while savoring pupus (appetizers), dinner and a selection of handcrafted cocktails, organic wines and locally produced beers.
Complimentary valet parking is offered to the public enjoying Rays on the Bay.

Rays on the Bay is the only Hawaii Island restaurant built on lava cliffs so close to the ocean it offers a perfect view to Keauhou’s resident manta rays feeding offshore in their natural habitat. First, enjoy the Sheraton Kona's newest experience, our Manta Talks, at 6 p.m. in the Manta Ray Learning Center adjacent to Rays on the Bay. After dinner, see the majestic rays swimming in their natural environment at Paakai Point. As you view the manta rays, enjoy a refreshing libation from Rays on the Bay! Note: Manta Ray sightings are never guaranteed becaue they are in their natural environment. However, the best time to view them is after 8 p.m. when the dive boats go back into the harbor. So if it's mantas you're after, make a later reservation!
Our private dining Ulu Lounge, is now available for parties of 10 or more people to reserve for the evening. Perfect for a special occasion or a dinner with friends and ohana! Rays on the Bay will help you create a unique menu of pupus, wines, cold beer and cocktails that's sure to please everyone in your party.
