Rays on the Bay

Imagine the rich flavors of world-famous Kona coffee, sea salt, coconut, papaya, mango, even dragon fruit, grown in Hawaii's lava-rich soil and prepared in this native region, packed with flavor and culinary history. Meet Rays on the Bay Chef de Cuisine Bryan Byard.
In Chef Bryan's kitchen local Kona flavors infused with fresh produce, the freshest local seafood, poultry, Hawaii Island beef and pork create a cuisine of their own. That is the defining focus of the menu at Rays on the Bay, with an accent on farm-to-table freshness, flame grilling and incorporating sometimes brilliant, sometimes subtle hints of tropical fruits and vegetables.
Here you are able to savor the refined and satisfying flavors of the Kona Coast. There is something about enjoying local cuisine while dining in the area where it comes from. It is a little like tasting wine in the vineyard that produced it. The concentrated flavors of the food also surround you in trace scents on the air, in the sea, the earth, and the flowers. We attempt to present the very best of Kona on your plate.

The natural atmosphere and location of the restaurant offer endless ocean views and romantic sunsets you can't find anywhere else.
Dramatically lit by fire pits at night and sun-drenched by day, Rays on the Bay is the only Hawaii Island restaurant built on lava cliffs so close to the ocean it offers a perfect view to Keauhou’s resident giant manta rays every evening.
Enjoy live music nightly from 6:00pm until 9:00pm by local island artists while savoring handmade artisan pizzas and a fabulously diverse rum bar.
